Last year, 200 million passengers used airports in Turkey to get to and from the country. Due to Turkey’s position at the crossroads of Europe and the Middle East, air travel is at an all-time high. With the ever-continuing growth of tourism and more passengers buying a home in Turkey, this figure grows every year. Turkish airports are very accessible and spaced out evenly across the country. There are currently 58 airports spread across Turkey. Of these airports, 35 offer domestic and international flights, while 23 provide regional flights across Turkey.
Turkey’s national carrier, now private, Turkish Airlines, covers all these airports from most major airports in Europe, the USA, Russia, Far East and the Middle East. Flying to and from Turkey using an international airport has never been easier. However, when buying a property in Turkey, you will want easy access to your home, whether you jet in for a weekend visit or spend a whole summer lavishing in the Turkish sun. The following guide talks about airports in locations within Turkey where most people tend to buy property. At the end of the short summaries are links to a more in-depth look at the airport and surrounding areas accessible to it.
